A caterpillar is the second phase of a four-part life cycle of a moth or butterfly, which includes egg, larva, pupa, and adult. As these creatures grow, they often undergo significant changes in appearance, making it easier to identify them during their later stages of development. In fact, many caterpillars can be easily spotted on their preferred food plants. I’ve documented here some of the fascinating caterpillars found in my garden.
